El Toro

A giant leap forward for wooden coasters,
this coaster's intensity and smoothness rival its steel counterparks

Nitro

New for 2001, Great Adventure continues a most impressive relationship
with Bolliger and Mabillard, as evidenced by this marvel:

Nothing changes a park's skyline like a hypercoaster

Got Steel?

Luckily, the money Six Flags saved on theming, was spent on quality

Inside joke for riders, elevation signs as the coaster climbs the lift

Whoever thought Batman could ever look so pathetic?

Like all B&M's, this one is even better to ride than to look at...

Medusa

The serpentine structure towers over the entry plaza

It even gets nice and personal with the midway

Batman: The Ride

Thanks to Nitro, and whole new range of views are afforded

Previously off-limits, Batman now does its twist-and-dive over a midway

Just for fun, count the number of roller coasters named batman in this picture
(answer: two, thanks to the clever people at Six Flags)

Viper (defunct)

Quite an embarrassment for Great Adventure, Viper waits demolition silently, having battered it's share of riders

Batman and Robin: The Chiller

This convoluted dueling LIM coaster is considered of the most intense experiences out there

Batman hits the Top Hat, a first-of-its-kind inversion

Once quite exciting, most people dread the extra-bumpy return trip

Rolling Thunder

Can't you hear it begging for a paintjob?
(not literally, it's just a personification)

Evolution

If you want to see how this ride works, visit this park and see it for yourself

The logisitics are mind-boggling, and a ride on it will actually make you confuse the ground for sky, and vice-versa
